FAQ

As a wedding photographer and having shot over hundreds of weddings in LA and OC areas, I have dealt with hundreds of brides and grooms and wedding coordinators who have brought up their questions and concerns to me. I have compiled a list of FAQs below to help answer some of these usual, but all very valid questions, relating to my services as a wedding photographer.

Q: How many weddings have you shot?
A: I have done about 150+ Weddings as of today (when the site was last updated in 2016).

Q: How would you describe your photography style (e.g. traditional, photojournalistic, creative)?
A: I do all three at the same time at every wedding.  After I get my traditional shots done I start getting creative and then I start doing my photojournalism.

Q: What do you think distinguishes your work from that of other photographers?
A: Quality, Quality, Quality, and of course my friendly, funny and relaxing attitude.

Q: In your portfolio are all of the images yours, and is the work recent?
A: Every single image on my website was shot personally by me. Of course I do have several backup/second photographers, however I only put up what came straight out of my camera.  Most picture are very recent and some could be two to three years old.

Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: My equipment is all Canon. Canon 5D Mark III 16-35mm F/2.8 8-15mm Fisheye, 24-70mm f/2.8 70-200mm F/2.8 IS Canon 5D MK II and 7D as Backups. Wireless Lighting and so on.

Q: Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?
A: Absolutely, in fact I encourage brides to do so since this way I know what they are looking for and which eventually helps me do my job better.

Q: What information do you need from me before the wedding day?
A: The list of shots that was mentioned right above, and other specifics that relates to the actual wedding day such as addresses and the itinerary.

Q: Are you photographing other events on the same day as mine?
A: NO that day is reserved for you ONLY

Q: How will you be dressed?
A: When I’m doing wedding photography I wear slacks, dress shoes, and a black T-Shirt with my photography logo on the back. It all depends on the event I’m photographing

Q: Is it okay if other people take photos while you’re taking photos?
A: I don’t mind at all as long as they don’t get in my way constantly. I will tolerate it even if they cut me off once or twice for that great shot. Other than that I’m very friendly with anybody who has a camera.

Q: What time will you arrive at the site and for how long will you shoot?
A: I arrive 15-20 minutes early from contractually agreed time. And I would leave when you ask me to (within contractual agreement).

Q: Do you provide retouching, editing or other color corrective services?
A: Absolutely, in fact I design the albums myself.

Q: How long after the wedding will I get my pictures?
A: I usually don’t take longer than few weeks to get your pictures back to you.
