Studio Photography

We have a beautiful studio in Pasadena and take all kinds of clients. We do maternity sessions, newborn sessions, headshots and many other photography types. But my personal favorites are little kinds and cake smash sessions. When they arrive as a photographer, I don’t know what to expect except that it is going to be a fun challenge catching them smiling or looking at the camera. The gallery above has kids from different ages. Some photography sessions were simply done for fun, and some had a specific purpose such as modeling or acting. Studio photography for kids can be a fun and rewarding experience for both the photographer and the children being photographed. Here are a few tips to help you get started:
Choose a suitable location: A dedicated studio space is ideal, but you can also set up a temporary studio in a room with good natural light or by using studio lights. Prepare the studio: Gather all the necessary equipment, such as camera, lights, reflectors, and backgrounds. Set up your camera on a tripod and arrange the lights and reflectors as needed. Choose appropriate clothing: Encourage kids to wear solid, neutral-colored clothing that won't distract from their faces. Avoid clothing with busy patterns or logos.Get the kids comfortable: Children can be nervous in front of the camera, so take some time to chat with them and get to know them before starting the photoshoot. You can also use props or toys to help them relax and have fun. Capture candid moments: While it's important to get some posed shots, don't be afraid to let kids be themselves and capture their natural expressions and personalities. Edit and share the photos: After the photoshoot, select the best shots and edit them as needed. Share the final images with the kids and their parents to cherish the memories for years to come.
